A bit over half the non-Bodyguard players got one of the abilities from the following list. Abilities were semi-balanced across factions.
- Assassin - You may discard any two cards from your hand to make an attack on another player in your room with Weapon Value 2, or discard any three cards to make an attack on another player in your room with Weapon Value 3, or discard any five cards to make an attack on another player in your room with Weapon Value 4. This ability cannot be played on Dr. Lucky. This is treated as using a Weapon Card in the Action Phase.
- Deadly - You may discard any card from your hand when making an attack (either with a Weapon Card or with a default attack) to increase the Weapon Value of the attack by 1. You may also discard additional cards for a +1 bonus for every two cards discarded. This ability cannot be played on Dr. Lucky.
- Defensive - You have a Failure defense of two for a single attack against you each game day. This will be used automatically in as efficient a manner as possible.
- Detective - You may discard any two cards from your hand to duplicate the effects of the special card Investigate-1. (Play on another player in your current room to learn that player’s role.) If you discard two cards and an Investigate-1, you may duplicate the effects of the special card Investigate-2. (Play on another player in either your current room or an adjacent room to learn that player’s role.) This is treated as using a Special Card in the Action Phase.
- Evictor - You may discard four cards from your hand to duplicate the effects of the special card Eviction-1. (Play on another player in your current room to evict them from the mansion, eliminating them from the game.) If you discard four cards and an Eviction-1, you may duplicate the effects of the special card Eviction-2. (Play on another player in either your current room or an adjacent room to evict them from the mansion, eliminating them from the game.) This is treated as using a Special Card in the Action Phase.
- Influential – You may discard one card from your hand to duplicate the effects of the special card Influence-1. (Play on yourself or another player in your current room to increase the target’s vote power by one vote. This card activates in the Eviction Vote phase, but still counts as a Special Card used in the Action Phase.) If you discard one card and an Influence-1, you may duplicate the effects of the special card Influence-2. (Play on yourself or another player in your current room to increase the target’s vote power by two votes. This card activates in the Eviction Vote phase, but still counts as a Special Card used in the Action Phase.) This is treated as using a Special Card in the Action Phase.
- Protector - You may discard three cards from your hand to duplicate the effects of the special card Protection-1. (Play on yourself, Dr. Lucky, or another player in your current room to nullify the effects of all cards (except for this one) played on the target this turn.) If you discard three cards and a Protection-1, you may duplicate the effects of the special card Protection-2. (Play on yourself, Dr. Lucky, or another player in either your current room or an adjacent room to nullify the effects of all cards (except for this one) played on the target this turn. This is treated as using a Special Card in the Action Phase.
- Resistant - You have a Failure defense of one for each attack made against you.
- Scavenger - You always draw two cards during the Draw Cards Phase, but gain no bonus by being in the same room as Dr. Lucky.
- Sniper - You may discard two cards from your hand to duplicate the effects of the special card Hit-and-Run. (Play on yourself to be able to target Dr. Lucky or another player in an adjacent room with a Weapon Card or default attack for this game day.) This is treated as using a Special Card in the Action Phase.
- Swift - You may play Movement Cards as if they were Failure Cards of equivalent value and vice versa.
- Thief - You may discard one card from your hand to duplicate the effects of the special card Steal-1. (Play on another player in your current room to steal a random card from their hand into yours.) If you discard one card and a Steal-1, you may duplicate the effects of the special card Steal-2. (Play on another player in either your current room or an adjacent room to steal a random card from their hand into yours.) This is treated as using a Special Card in the Action Phase.
