In the past game, unless you choose lover type 4, you both died on the same night. The vote will go through their invincibility and make them both die.

I'm waiting for Qorzm to go online and throw PK to the wolves. He analyzed PK as a student with madness above and beyond normal last night. I imagine Qorzm should consider outing PK as a lone wolf and make him eat the vote, thus saving buzz buzz and pl1.

Well, I'm not going to let them votekill people who they're scared to fight.

I'll make a new mechanic tonight: the person with the most kills each night gets a bounty on their heads, and becomes immune to the vote.

Keep in mind that the vote kill was the only way the first game was able to finish with a winner that didn't escape. It killed a great number of lover pairs.

Truth be told, I'd prefer we keep it the same way and have the vote kill the leader.

If we want to consider changing the red vote mechanic, we have to close more zones each night to force the players to fight each other. Otherwise at the end, they simply don't have the time to kill each other before all die after day 10.

I just feel bad that they're going to always vote out the strongest players who made the bold choices, and reward the weak, which didn't happen last game because you didn't know who killed who.

Have the red vote go to second place.

Maybe each day from now on, announce the player with the most kills as the MVP - can't be killed by the vote, but gets a bounty on his head.

We did have a lot of players die. Here's my thoughts on this.

If we decide the red vote kills nobody, we need to balance things out a bit.

1) More zones need to close.
2) Red votes should do something (probably) more than putting a reward for the top winner.
3) Potential new rule on red votes. Players who have more than X red votes are killed. Players who have between Y and Z red votes get a reward placed on their heads. It allows for multiple kills or no kills, depending on the student choices.
4) We can consider simply taking the red vote OUT as long as X players die each night.
5) We need to consider bringing B:L back if we change the red vote mechanic.


I understand that the stronger players may die by the red vote due to their actions, but that's the risk they take. There were survivors in PL1's zone last night that could have easily thrown him to the public, claiming the zone X kills were all his. It happened last game as well.

At this early point in the game, if we make a decision, we'd want to bring B:L back and figure out what to do with him. I personally think the vote kill needs to be able to happen under circumstances fully known to the playerbase because some players aren't really killable otherwise.

McKid last game was a lone wolf, but he had an uzi, bullet proof vest and pot lid, making him incredibly tough to kill by any means and when you found him, he was going to f**k you up anyways. There's at least one player who has that defensive combination with a weapon, making him very tough to kill otherwise.

EDIT: I would be much more receptive to the idea that the player with the most kills each night (minimum 2) cannot die by the vote the next day. As we lessened the lone wolf and lover powers from before, this may very well give the lone wolves left (2 died last night) a better chance at living AND increase the death count each night.

We need MrBlarney to weigh in and more importantly, we need feedback from the dead on their thoughts. I'll post a thread in the dead thread area.

I've got a couple minutes between grading papers that I can weigh in. I'm against changing the red vote mechanics. If a strong player gets killed by the vote, so be it. I really don't mind that, it's part of the game and it's a tool that the village should really have in their arsenal. Yeah, it's too bad that strong players might meet their end this way, but that's just part of how the game goes.
